Syria, Kingdom of, Seleucus I, (312-280 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.1 grams), Susa mint, issued c.280-261 B.C., posthumous issue under Antiochus I, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, monogram to left and under throne, to right **SELEUKOU*, in exergue **[B]ASILEWS, (cf.S.6829, Newell ESM 354, [p.129, pl.XXVI, 13; XXVII,1). Good very fine.
