Macedon, a small collection of Roman issues in Macedon, Stobi, Caracalla, (AD 198-217), AE 26mm (10.84 g), obv. laureate and cuirassed bust right, rev. Nike advancing left, holding wreath and palm, (Mouchmov 6553) (illustrated); Philippi, AE 19 (3.07 g); Macedon, Thessalonica, Caracalla, (AD 198-217). AE 20mm (5.70 g) obv. laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind, rev. Kabeiros standing right, holding rhyton and hammer. (Touratsoglou - [V5/R1], SNG ANS -) (illustrated); similar, Gordian III, AE 23, (7.34 g), obv. radiate head right, rev. agonistic crown (RPC 354); similar Salonina, AE 18, (2.50 g) rev. text in wreath; Macedon, Amphipolis, AE 23, (4.68 g) rev. Artemis Tauropolos on bull advancing right, holding billowing veil over head, (RPC 1635, Varbanov 3110); Sardinia, Uselis, c.38-36 BC, M. Atius Balbus, 22 mm, (6.32 g), obv. bare head left, rev. feather crowned head of Sardus pater right, spear at shoulder, (Grant 1969, 150, RPC 625, S.514, SNG Cop. 1112). Good - very fine, several scarce, an interesting lot. (7)
