Thrace, Philippopolis, various issues all in packets described, including Elagabalus, (AD 218-222), AE 29mm, (14.88 g), obv. laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right, rev. Temple with seventeen visible columns in perspective, (cf.Varbanov 1664); another AE 37mm, (23.20 g), obv. radiate bust draped and cuirassed right, rev. temple with thirteen columns seen in perspective from right, (cf.Varbanov 1667/1664 for obv/rev); third coin, similar AE 36mm, (21.21 g), obv. radiate and cuirassed bust right, rev. octastyle facade of the Temple of Apollo Cendresius (Varbanov 1667); another fourth coin, similar AE 28mm, (12.56 g), obv. radiate and cuirassed bust to right, rev. laureate draped bust of a young Dionysos (Artemis according to Varbanov 1772/3). Very good - very fine, some with oxidation, all rare - very rare. (4)
