Cilicia, Tarsos, (c.420-410 B.C.), silver stater, 18mm, (10.48 g), obv. horseman riding to left, holding flower, rev. archer kneeling to right, drawing bow, tree to left, monogram to right, all within dotted square within incuse square, (S.5630, cf.Casabonne Type D [unlisted variety], SNG BN -, SNG Levante -, SNG von Aulock -, NAC 2, [lot 218], same reverse die. Large test cut struck from a worn obverse die, otherwise very fine and extremely rare.
