Attica, Islands off, Aegina, (Aigina), (510-490 B.C.), silver stater, (12.03 g), obv. smoothed shell sea turtle without row of dots down dorsal spine, with bankers mark of a three leaf plant or flower centre of turtle rev. 'incuse five sunken segments', [intentionally cut into the die], (S.1851, Asyut Group IIIc "thin collar", cf.438-465, SNG Delepierre 1629, SNG Cop.503). Off centred obverse, otherwise fine - very fine, worn obverse die.
Ex CNG private purchase December 2, 1998.^Asyut hoard suggests the chronology to be 500/490-480 B.C.^
