India, Sultans of Bengal, Ghiyath al-Din 'Iwad, an issue in the name of Shah al-Din Iltutmish, (622 A.H., 1225 A.D.), silver tanka, (10.86 g), dated probably 622, no Mint stated, (G&G B37 [RRR], ICV 2614). Toned, extremely fine, and very rare, one of the finest known.
A similar example in Noonans Auction 164 (lot 2834) realised 600 GBP.
