Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued A.D. 232, Rome Mint, (2.89 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. MARS VLTOR, Mars advancing right, holding spear and shield, (S.7882, RIC 246, RSC 161a, BMC 831); another, (2.80 g), rev. SPES P VBLICA, Spes walking to left holding flower, (S.7927, RIC 254, C.546). Nearly extremely fine - extremely fine, second coin with small flan crack. (2)
