Julia Domna, wife of Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-217), silver denarius, Rome Mint, issued 197, (3.43 g), obv. draped bust to right of Julia Domna, around IVLIA AVGVST[A], rev. Julia seated left holding phoenix, two standards before, around MATRI CASTO RVM, (S.6596, RIC 568, RSC 131). Lightly toned, very fine.
