Faustina Junior, wife of Marcus Aurelius, (d.A.D. 175), AE as, (9.54 g), obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, draped bust to right, rev. SALVTI AVGVSTAE, SC in exergue, Salus seated to left, feeding a snake arising from altar, (S.5503, C.201, RIC 1671); another, (10.58 g), rev. FECV[ND AVG]VSTAE around, Fecunditas, draped, standing front, head left, holding two children in her arms, two more children at sides, left and right, S C in fields, (cf.5294, RIC 1635, BMC 978). Deep toning, nearly very fine - good very fine, scarce. (2)
