Faustina Junior, wife of Marcus Aurelius, (d.A.D. 175), posthumous silver denarius, (2.67 g), obv. DIVA FAV STINA PIA, draped bust to right, rev. AETERNITAS around, Aeternitas, veiled standing left, holding phoenix on globe, resting arm on column, (S.5213, RIC 740, RSC 6) (illustrated); another, issued c.165 A.D., (2.77 g), rev. Salus seated left holding patera and feeding snake arising from altar, (S.5262, RIC 713); another, issued c.158 A.D., (3.33 g), rev. Diana draped, standing left, holding in both hands transverse lighted torch, which points up, (S.5250, RIC 674); another, issued 156, rev. Spes standing front, head left, holding flower and fold of skirt, around A[VGV] STI PII FIL, (S.4702, RIC 497). Toning, good fine - very fine. (4)
