Marcus Aurelius (A.D. 161-180), AE sestertius, Rome Mint, issued 176-177, (27.78 g), obv. M ANTONINVS AVG GERM SARM TR P XXXI, laureate head to right, rev. LIBERALITAS AVG VII IMP VIII COS III P P around, SC across field, Liberalitas standing left with abacus and cornucopiae, (cf,S.4989, RIC 1205, C.422). Attractive even brown patination, choice good very fine/very fine with minor flan crack, rare.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 134, lot 3830. Previously Roma Numismatica with their written and printed ticket, from the Stack's Sale of the Frederick S.
