Marcus Aurelius, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 164, (2.86 g), obv. laureate bust of Marcus Aurelius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG ARMENIACVS, rev. around PM TR P XVIII IMP II COS III, ARMEN in exergue, Armenia with peaked cap seated to left, in attitude of sadness, holding bow and quiver, before her vexillum and shield, (S.4881, RIC 80, RSC 8). Nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
