Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.20 g), Kassander as regent, Amphipolis Mint, issued c.307-297 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **L* over torch on left, star below throne, to right **ALEXANDR[OU]*, (cf.S.6713, Price 474). Lightly toned, nearly extremely fine with an attractwive portrait.
