Sicily, Syracuse, Kingdom of, Pyrrhos, (278-276 B.C.), issued at Syracuse, silver octobol, (5.14 g), obv. Persephone head to right, wreathed with corn, to right an altar/A, rev. Athena Promachos advancing to left, brandishing spear and holding shield, to right **BASILEWS*, to left trace of **PURROU*, (S.982, SNG ANS 828 [Pl.26], BMC 7, HGC 3, 263). Even grey patina, good very fine, and very scarce.
