MBE Group of Five: The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, type 2 breast badge, Member (MBE) (Civil); 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. First three medals unnamed, VX119544 L.L.Lock on last two medals. The named medals impressed. Display mounted, good very fine - extremely fine.

MBE (Civil): Supplement to LG 11/6/1977, p7123 in the Queen's Birthday Honours List to Lindsay Lewis Lock of Mentone, Victoria for public service.
Lindsay Lewis Lock, pharmaceutical chemist, age 27 born at Kew, Vic; Enl.21Dec1942 in 2/AIF at 48 Camp Hospital, Watsonia, Vic while serving as V275636 S/Sgt at 48 Camp Hospital; Disch.23Dec1946 as S/Sgt ex 2/1 Aust CCS, with overseas service at Morotai 05May1945 to 16Feb1946 (note that in response to a query from L.L.Lock the Defence Department advised him that he was not entitled to the 1939-45 Star as he had not served 180 days operational service overseas before hostilities ceased on 2 Sept 1945); Post war Lindsay Lewis Lock became an investigator for the Commonwealth Department of Health; Retired 18Jul1980; Died 06May1991.
