Together with miniature of Colonial Auxiliary Forces Decoration (VRI); two Major crowns (QV) for fitting to epaulettes; Marksman brass badge; Royal Australian Artillery hat badge in brass (KC); VRA (Victorian Rifle Association) Council medal in voided silver, with ribbon; Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II 1953, City of Caulfield, Victoria, gilded medalet (31mm) (C.1953/18); Royal Visit 1954 Victoria, Presented to the Children by the Government, in gilded (27mm) (C.1954/12); Australia 1910 shilling voided with coiled border and scroll suspender; unidentified SMGH 1884 voided bronze cross (33mm) with circle behind, with ring top suspension, inscribed on reverse, 'Mary/Reeve'.
William Mark Reeve born 03Feb1853 in Ipswich, England; Married Mary Watts Hodgson 19Feb1879 in Vic; Enl.1870 in Southern Rifle Corps, Vic Volunteer Force, Sth Yarra; promotion to Sgt until joined Victorian Militia on its formation as Lieut 09Dec1884 2Bn Infy Regt; to Captain 01Jan1889 and Major 07Feb1896; in 1904 listed as Lt-Col of 5 Infy Regt and the Colonel; elected to Council of VRA Feb1890 and often noted as prize winner; Died 08Aug1918 at Beaumaris and buried at Cheltenham Cemetery.

Colonel William Mark Reeve, V.D., who died suddenly at his residence at Beaumaris on Thursday, was an officer of the Lands Department for over 40 years, and retired about a year ago. He was colonel in charge of the 5th Battalion for five years, and a number of successful officers now in France received training under him. Colonel Reeve was a brother to Mr T. Reeve of Rutherglen and a nephew of a former town clerk. He had considerable property interests in Rutherglen.
