Australian Defence Canteens Service, Canteen Order, two shillings, New South Wales issue, N510300/522025/528355, the first two hand stamped for Money Order Counter at Sydney, 14May1943/21May1943, and the last stamp details indecipherable but dated 26June1943 at Sydney, named in ink to 'No 422296/Name Sgt. W.A.G. Reid R.A.L. ', all unused. Pin hole marks at left corner and some foxing, otherwise fine - very fine and scarce. (3)

Ronald Arthur Lloyd Reid, born 21May1918 at Willoughby, Sydney, NSW; Enl.26Apr1942 at Sydney, NSW; died 28Jun1944 as Flight Sergeant posted to HQ Middle East; recorded on the Roll of Honour at Asquith, Hornsby, NSW. In newspaper reports from the war, Flight Sergeant Reid was reported missing believed killed.
