Henry III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross type, class IIIc1, London Mint, moneyer Henry, (1.28 g), obv. crowned facing bust, shorter pointed face, beard with inner row of small pellets, lines indicating neck, round eyes, pellets between curls, three pellets below crown, Star 4 above central ornament, no sceptre, coarse work within pelleted inner circle, legend around, colon after REX (X is plain), rev. long cross voided dividing legend around, trefoil of pellets in each angle, within pelleted inner circle, (S.1364, N.988). Toned, very fine for issue.
