Henry III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross type, class IIIa1, Canterbury Mint, moneyer Nicole, (1.18 g), obv. crowned facing bust, no sceptre, thinner face with two curls either side and beard of four pellets with inner row of small pellets, three pellets below crown, within pelleted inner circle, Star 3 above straddles central ornament, legend around, single pellet stop after REX. rev long cross voided, dividing legend around, trefoils in each angle within pelleted inner circle, (S.1362, N.986). Toned, nearly very fine.
