Henry II, (1154-1189), silver penny, cross and crosslets type, class C2, Bristol Mint, moneyer Eilaf, (1.14 g), obv. crowned bust (coarser and larger) facing wearing armour and mantle with sceptre in right hand, mantle indicated by sweeping lines, pellets at collar; no pellets at wrist or trefoil on mantle, rev. large cross potent with small cross potent in each angle, in centre a small cross in saltire, (S.1339, N.957). Toned, nearly very fine and rare.
