Edward Franz Meier, accountant, age 29, born 29Nov1911 at Elsternwick, Vic; Enl.02Jul1941 at Royal Park, Melbourne, Vic; to Lieutenant 12Oct1942; to T/Captain 15Sep1944; to Captain 15Jun1945; various postings including service in New Guinea, Bougainville and Singapore and at one time allotted for duty with HQ 2 Aust POW Reception Group as Ordnance Officer (Captain); Disch.01Apr1947 as Captain ex HQ 1 Aust Corps.
