FAMILY GROUP: Group of Four: (Husband) 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45. Unnamed.; also matching set of miniature medals with addition of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE, GRI type 2) (Civil); Pair: (Wife) Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45. Unnamed. Two groups of full size medals and one group of miniatures, the first two groups swing mounted and in a case, the last pair in original packs in box of issue, extremely fine - uncirculated.

The last pair in original box with certificate confirming awards to Service No.42440, and the issue box addressed to Mrs A.D.Grant, P.O. Box No.821, Nairobi, Kenya. The recipient of the above group of four (Mr A.D.Grant) also is entitled to an MBE but the family retained it, however there is a miniature MBE in the accompanying miniature group.

Mrs A.D.Grant is shown in Nairobi public records with an appointment on 21-1-49 as Personal Secy Grade II with Govt Chemist's Dept. There are also several published articles co-authored by A.D.Grant (her husband) on the subject of disease control in African countries.
