Domitian, (A.D. 81-96), silver denarius, issued as Caesar under Vespasian, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 79, (3.21 g), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around CAESAR AVG F DOMITIA[NVS COS VI], rev. around PRINCEPS IVVENTVTIS, clasped hands holding legionary eagle resting on a prow, (S.2643, RIC 246, RSC 393). Lightly toned, good very fine - nearly extremely fine and scarce.
