Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), fouree silver denarius, imitating Rome Mint issue of C.Marius C.f. Tromentina, issued 13 B.C., (2.98 g), obv. bare head of Augustus to right, lituus behind, AVGVSTVS around, rev. bare heads right of Lucius, Julia, and Caius, wreath above Julia, around C [MARIV]S TRO III III (in error for VIR), (cf.S.1733, cf.RIC 404, cf.RSC 1, cf.BMC 106). Toned, breaks in plating revealing inner core, surface marks, nearly very fine and extremely rare.
