L. Roscius Fabatus, (64 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (3.97 g), obv. head of Juno Sospita to right, wearing goat's skin tied under the chin, below L. ROSCI, on left scales, rev. female figure standing to right, and feeding from her dress a serpent, erect before her, behind a modius, in exergue FABATI, serrated edge, (S.363, C.412/1 [symbols 122], Syd 915, BMC 3395, RSC Roscia 3). Extremely fine and very scarce.
