Macedon, Kingdom of, Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.10 g), Sardes Mint, issued c.323-319 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, bee in left field, A and dot under throne **FILIP[POU]* to right, (cf.S.6751, Price P104, BMC P104a-c, M.P72). Toned, surface pitting, nearly very fine and very scarce.
