Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.22 g), Abydus mint, issued c.323-317 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, tuny fish to left, monogram below throne, to right **ALEXANDR[OU]*. (cf.S.6730, Price 1513, BMC 1513, M.-, SNG Cop.-, SNG Greece -). Bright, good very fine.
