Thrace, Kings of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.06 g), Byzantium mint, late style of that issued c.150 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, monogram of **LWOF* left and BY on throne, trident below, to right **BASILEWS* to left **LUSIMACOU*, (cf.S.6816, De Callatay Group 3 obverse die D25/?, Thompson -, Muller 194). Toned, extremely fine and extremely rare.
