Trajan, (A.D.117-138), gold aureus, Rome Mint, issued 20 February-circa autumn AD 116, (7.29 g), obv. laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Trajan to right, around IMP CAES NER TRAIAN OPTIM AVG GER DAC PARTHICO, rev. around REGNA AD SIGNATA, Trajan, bareheaded and in military dress, seated left on sella castrensis set on platform on right, holding out right hand, officer standing to left and right, the one on left holding spear, below, on the ground to left stand three kings, facing Trajan, the foremost holding out his right hand to receive a diadem, (S.3103, RIC 367, Calico 1079). Nearly extremely fine/extremely fine and a rare type.
