Group of Three: War Medals 1939-45 (2); Australia Service Medal 1939-45. 50732 Dowie R.F. on first medal, V510604 R.F.Dowie on second and third medals. All late issue medals, one engraved, two impressed. Good very fine.
Robert Forrestdale Dowie, photographer, age 38 yrs, born Glasgow, Scotland, 04Dec1903; Enl.16Feb1942, at North Fitzroy, Vic, in the Royal Australian Air Force as an Aircraftman 1; Disch.05Aug1942 as unfit. Re-Enl.27May1943 at Royal Park, Vic in the Australian Army as a Pte; Disch 22May1945.
