John Lennane, lengthsman (railway), age 33, born at Torrens Creek, Charters Towers, Qld; Enl.10Jan1916 and then 26Apr1916 at sea; Emb.20Apr1916; to 12 Trg Bn 06Dec1916; to hospital with scabies 26Feb1917; to France 22May1917; TOS 15Bn 13Jun1917; WIA 26Aug1917 shrapnel wound to head and neck; WIA 25Aug1918 mustard gas; RTA 02Jan1919; Disch.11Apr1919; Died 29Mar1921 when he was running his length on a tricycle when he was run down by a passenger train about 4 miles from Reid River at Townsville, Queensland.
