Together with Memorial Plaque named to Samuel Reginald Earle, in fold-over cardboard cover; Mother's and Widow's Ribbon (AIF), one star, number 1241 on reverse of suspension bar; WWI Nearest Female Relative's badge (AIF), by Stokes & Sons, Melb, reverse numbered 68937; circular aluminium dog tag impressed, '5260/S R/Earle/31 Btn/Meth/A I F'; folding metal frame with two b&w photos in uniform, one is S.R.Earle; two other b&w photos in uniform of S.R.Earle, one of them with Mrs A.E.Earle pencilled on back (Mrs Avice Eleanor Earle was the wife of S.R.Earle).
Samuel Reginald Earle, grocer, age 28, born at Brisbane, Qld; Enl.06Nov1917 at Brisbane, Qld, in 15Rfts 31Bn; Emb.02Mar1918; after training declared unfit for infantry but fit for AASC; TOS AASC Details 31Jul1918; to France 28Jan1919; to 3rd Canadian Gen Hosp at Boulogne, France 20Feb1919 with bronchial pneumonia; died in hospital 08Mar1919; Buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery near Boulogne, France.
