Sterling silver fork, hallmarked Dublin, 1841, maker Philip Weekes, fiddleback style, engraved with the crest of the Darley family, HMD engraved below, (20.5 cm long, 75 g weight). Extremely fine.
Ex Dr J.M.Bennett A.M. Collection.
This fork was owned by Henry Darley of Wingfield, Bray, County Wicklow. He is the father of Sir Frederick Matthew Darley (1830-1910), chief justice and lieutenant-governor of NSW.
