M. VARGUNTEIUS, (130 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.846 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head right, * below chin, M.VAR G ligated behind, rev. Jupiter in walking quadriga to right, with thunderbolt, ROMA in exergue, (S.133, Cr.257/1, Syd.507). Even grey patina, old time collector's number 21 cut in edge, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
