P AELIUS PAETUS, (138 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.794 grams), obv. helmeted head of Roma to right, X below, rev. Dioscuri galloping to right, P PAETVS below, ROMA in exergue, (S.110, Cr.233/1, Syd.455, Aelia 3). Has been mounted, old collector's engraved number 32 on edge, even grey patina, otherwise very fine.
