India, temple token collection, an expansive collection of issues and types in various metal and alloy all in a plastic coin album all described on leaves linking the 18-20th century issues to the various Hindu, Islamic and other gods; Krishna (the Cowherd), various types including a very rare type with cattle and cadamba tree; some of modern machine made fabric, Krishna-Kali issues with varieties (20); Laksmi (goddess of fortune and wife of Vishnu) various issues (16); Siva/Shiva, types (7) and with associations (Ganesa, Hanuman etc) (5); Ganesa including Rama and Sita marriage and processions of 7 figures (6), others (9); Hanuuman (the monkey god) types (33); Jagannatha Triad issues (14); Rama Tanka (Rama-Laksmania) types, issues (88) a wide range of issues mostly in base metal; an interesting and varied collection all described on leaves, few with pedigrees, types generally illustrated in Brotman (1970) and Roma Niyogi (1989).
