Group of Four: War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45; Fire Service Long Service Medal; NSW Fire Brigades Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. S.6619. B.V.Byrne. on first two medals, Bryan V.Byrne on third medal and B.Byrne 23.4.'63 on last medal. The first three medals impressed, the last medal engraved. Display mounted except for last medal which has a pin-back suspender, all toned, otherwise very fine - good very fine.
Together with case for last medal, this with foxing, and spare ribbon for third medal.
S/6619 (previous number S/3915 under name of Victor Bryan Byrne) Bryan Victor Byrne, born 14Aug1920 at Coogee, Sydney, NSW; mobilized for service in RANR 05Feb1940 with home port of Sydney; Disch. 23Apr1941; again mobilized for service at rank of Ord Smn 18May1942 with home port at Sydney; served at HMAS Cerberus N.E.S.; various postings until Demob.22Feb1946; Disch.03Feb1947 as invalided.
