Group of Six: 1939-45 Star; Africa Star, - clasp - 8th Army; Pacific Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. SX1583 J.D.Tymmons. All medals impressed. Swing mounted, first ribbon with stain marks, a few medals with light contact marks, otherwise extremely fine.
James Duncan Tymmons, motor driver, age 27, born at Adelaide, Sth Aust; Enl.05Dec1939 at Adelaide, Sth Aust, in AAOC; trf to 2/1 Army Fd Wkshp 17Dec1939; Emb.05May1940; various postings and service in Palestine, Egypt, Greece and New Guinea including ops in Libya and Tobruk; accidentally injured 11Feb1942; to L/Cpl 26May1942; to A/Cpl 18Aug1940; to L/Sgt 18Jan1944; reverted to Cpl 07Aug1944; RTA 12Sep1945; Disch.17Sep1945 Medically Unfit ex 2/1 Aust Fld WKSP; Died 02Oct1992.
