Together with a tribute fob in gold (9ct; 4.33g; 29x37mm), reverse inscribed, 'To/Pte. W. Hulley/From the people/Of/Trafalgar/1919.'.

William Hulley, labourer, age 30, born at Alexandra, Anglesy, England; Enl.22Feb1915 at Trafalgar, Vic in 13LHR; to Trg Depot 19Feb1915; to 13LHR 30Apr1915; Emb.28May1915; to Gallipoli 04Sep1915; Trf to 2 Anzac HQs 12Mar1916; to 1 Anzac HQs 23Sep1916; the name of Pte W.Hullet brought to notice of the Army Corps Commander for gallant conduct (stopping two bolting horses attached to a G.S. Wagon in France when he jumped to the horses heads and succeeded in stopping them before they reached the dangerous cross-road in the centre of Hinencourt Village thereby averting considerable damage) 17Feb1917 (promulgated in Military Order No.247 of 16Jun1917); RTA 23Mar1919; Disch.21Jul1919.
