Euboia, Chalkis, (c.290-273/2 B.C.), silver drachm, (possibly a contemporary forgery), (2.60 g), obv. Hera head to right, hair rolled, rev. eagle flying to right, carrying snake in talons and beak, to right **CAL*, below caduceus, (cf.S.2483, Picard p.69, Pl.XV, [This Coin] illustrated, Lanz Sale 111 [BCD] illustrated This Coin, lot 182). Good very fine, toned, and apparently unique.
