Edward II, (1307-1327), silver mule penny, long cross type, class XIa2, issued 1311-1312, Durham Mint, issuer Bishop Kellawe, with an obverse die of Bishop Bec, (1.35 g), obv. crowned facing bust, damaged crown jewel within pelleted inner circle, EDWAR ANGL DNS HYB around, rev. long cross voided dividing CIVITAS DVNELM, trefoil of pellets in each angle within pelleted inner circle, larger lettering, (S.1469, N.1060/2). Toned, rusted obverse die of Bishop Bec, flat one quarter, lightly clipped, nearly fine and an extremely rare mule.
