Henry III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross type, class IIb1, Northampton Mint, moneyer William de Gangy, (1.38 g), obv. crowned bust facing, no sceptre, face long and thin with beard of pellets, three pellets below crown within pelleted inner circle, *HENRICVS REX TERCI around, rev. long cross voided, dividing WILLEM OHH Orh around, trefoils in each angle within pelleted inner circle, (S.1361A, N.985/1). Toned, good fine and a scarce mint.
