Henry II, (1154-1189), silver cut farthing, short cross type, class Ia4, London Mint, issued 1180-1189, moneyer Pieres, (0.27 g), obv. bust facing, crowned and with sceptre in right hand, rev. short cross voided with quatrefoil in each angle, X with serifs, no square letters, N with 4 serifs, C and E with half moons, (S.1343A, N.962); another, (0.28 g), Oxford Mint, moneyer Ricard, (S.1344, N.963). Toned, good fine and scarce. (2)
