WWI Memorial Plaque, named to Albert Edwin Marchant. Cleaned, otherwise very fine.

Together with a photo album containing a large number of b&w wartime photos (approx 285), including scenes in England, France, in the battlefield and on troopships. Inside the front cover is written, 'C.H.Marchant/North Motton' (This is A.E.Marchant's brother - see below - North Motton is in Tasmania), and inside the back cover is written, 'G.L.Butler/Photographer/70 Montgomery St/Kogarah/N.S.W.' (2769 George Lionel Butler enlisted 24 July 1916, noted occupation on enlistment form as photographer from Montgomery St, Kogarah, NSW.)^^4551 Albert Edwin Marchant, labourer, age 26, born in Adelaide, Sth Aust; Enl.07Oct1915 at Claremont, Tas, in 14Rfts for 12Bn; Emb.08Feb1916; tfr from 12Bn to 52Bn 19Apr1916; to France 12Jun1916; KIA 27Mar1917 by artillery fire, France; buried near Vaulx Vrancourt, 4 miles N.E. of Bapaume, France.^^895 Charles Hartin Marchant, farmer, age 21, born at Latrobe, Tas; Enl.04Mar1916 at Claremont, Tas; Emb.01Jul1916 wih 40Bn; to France 11Dec1916; TOS 26Bn ex 40Bn 22Dec1916; WIA 20Sep1917, GSW right leg, left thigh and both buttocks, France; RTA 07Jul1919; Disch.21Jan1920.
