Entitled to 1914-15 Star which was sent to his father Max C. Christensen on 08Oct1920. Note the father's correct name is Mad Christian Christensen, originally from Denmark.^^Together with WWI Memorial Plaque named to Jacob Christensen in original fold-over cardboard holder; b&w photos, colour photos from Mildura & District War Memorial, and other original documents.^^Jacob Christensen, painter, age 21, born at Auburn, Melbourne, Vic; Enl.29Mar1915 at Mildura, Vic, in 24Bn, with previous service of 2 years in 1Bn Senior Cadets; Emb.08May1915; WIA shrapnel wounds to foot, legs and face 10Sep1915 at Gallipoli; to 6FAmb at Gallipoli 11Sep1915; to Floriana Hospital at Malta and died 18Sep1915 from shock following amputation; Buried with full honours at Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta 19Sep1915; commemorated at Mildura & District War Memorial.^^With copy of Service File and other research.
