George William Robert Dorehill, electrician, age 29, born at Beaconsfield, South Africa; Enl.21Aug1914 at Brisbane, Qld, with previous service in 21 Lancers, D.E.O.V.R., Cape Peninsula Rifles as Sgt then left to go to Australia; Emb.24Sep1914 with 1 Rfts 2LHR; to join MEF at Gallipoli 09May1915; chronic dysentery and admitted to hospital 23Nov1915 then to hospital at Malta 26Dec1915 and various other hospitalisations; RTA 11May1916 for 3 months change; Disch.14Sep1916 Medically Unfit.^^George William Robert Dorehill died suddenly on 6 November 1928 at his residence in Gardenvale, Victoria at the age of 43.
