James Neville Carless, cart and wagon builder, age 19, born North Melbourne, previously served in Essendon Military; Enl.15Aug1914 Essendon, Vic; Emb.Melbourne 19Oct1914; KIA 25Apr1915 in one of the boats heading for Fishermans Hut; buried at No.2 Outpost Cemetery (Special Memorial 6) Gallipoli.^^With research including photocopy of a handwritten letter to his family about the sinking of the 'Emden' by the 'Sydney'.
