FRANCE, Louis XII le PŠre du Peuple (the Father of His People), (1498-1515), gold ecu d'or au soleil, (3.37 g), obv. crowned coat-of-arms, crowned ermine to left and right, star above, rev. voided short cross potent over cross fleuree, at centre, pellet in voided quadrilobe, crowned ermine in each angle, (Duplessy 649, Ciani 907, Fr.327). Very fine, scarce.
