Caracalla, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 212, Rome Mint, (3.37 g), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Annona seated on throne to left, holding corn ears and a cornucopiae, around P M TR P XV COS III PP, (cf.S.6826, cf.RIC 195, BMC 43, RSC 205a). Good very fine and rare.

Ex Baldwin's Auction Sale 18, 12 October 1998, (lot 1121 part).^This variety appears to lacks the modius on the reverse as usual.
