Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Bronze Medal, (1952), For Animal Life Saving, with For Humanity pin-back ribbon suspender, edge inscribed, 'V.Frost.1952.', and with framed certificate dated 21st February 1952. Certificate with some age toning, medal uncirculated.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 106 (lot 842).^^The Bronze Medal of the Society awarded to V.Frost for his courage and humanity in rescuing a dog from a disused shaft at Ballarat, Victoria, on June 9th 1951.^^Mr Frost of Nerrina, a suburb of Ballarat in Victoria, was lowered on a rope down an 80ft disused mine shaft at Nerrina to rescue a small Australian terrier. The medal and framed citation were presented to him by Mr G.Sutton, President of the Victorian S.P.A. at the Ballarat Branch.
